About Us

The Foundation was established to support efforts to educate the public on stroke prevention, and to support those health professionals that care for stroke patients in improving care.
The Foundation supports activities to lower the risk of stroke in vulnerable populations, through education of both the public and healthcare professionals. We support innovations in educational technology to bring knowledge to a wide range of people.
Our future programs focus on bringing advances in digital health to underserved populations, to move beyond the office visit by connecting people with wearable devices to their providers, and to take a more active role in their health.

Professional Education

The Foundation supports the infrastructure and tools for the development and use of online teaching tools.

Our support allows conferences and lectures to be delivered to physicians and nurses. This removes distance and time barriers, and allows professionals from multiple institutions, who generally would not always meet with each other, to attend regular activities. We host a monthly stroke conference that is attended by professionals from the following institutions:Maimonides Medical CenterMount Sinai Medical CenterNYU Rusk Institute of Rehabilitation MedicineSt. Lukes – Roosevelt Medical Center Downstate Medical Center
